Paint Prepper
*Including but not limiting, move, measure, clean, tape and sand parts to prepare for painting, shipping, etc.
*To monitor, carry out and abide by company policies. Candidate(s) should be a reliable and responsible individual, able to work independently and well with others. Must have excellent attendance record! Heavy lifting and standing is required. Chapter 2, Inc. is a full-service manufacturer specializing in high precision machining and product component assembly as well as many other manufacturing processes such as fabricating, grinding, polishing, tool and die services (jigs, fixtures, molds, dies, machine tools, and automated machinery) and wet paint/spray applications. Perform work directly related to the preparation of product for painting, spraying, coating and/or finishing. Prepare surfaces for painting using techniques such as sanding, blasting, grinding. Final material preparation including taping, masking and/or priming. May assist with materials handling, paint mixing, equipment cleaning, and light painting and some post finishing as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*Including but not limiting, move, measure, clean, tape and sand parts to prepare for painting, shipping, etc.
*Communicate and coordinate with other Paint staff and employees, for:
- forecasting inventory supply and demand
- scheduled parts
- assignments and projects
