Development Program Manager - (Q-Systems: Security)

Job Description: The Development Program Manager (Q-Systems: Security) is responsible for leading and managing Q-Systems activities, focusing on security, across design, pre‑construction and construction stages within QTS's portfolio. Responsibilities Program level support for network infrastructure deployments across the portfolio. Coordinate with QTS network infrastructure and technology teams to ensure infrastructure meets facility needs. Support Q‑Systems network infrastructure coordination. Manage port schedule creation for development projects. Review project design to ensure compliance with QTS system standards and Basis of Design documents. Create and communicate updates on development program & project status suitable for executive level reviews and to support efficient decision making. Implement and manage multi‑phased site development plans to achieve time, budget, and quality standards. Continuously update a campus master plan to provide predictable statistics in a dynamic environment. Write scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning services and participate in procurement and project cost estimates. Evaluate and level pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services. Establish project schedules and manage teams to on‑time completion. Develop plans for product deployment and communicate plans with QTS staff involved. Establish and maintain liaison relationships with key QTS stakeholders. Represent Q‑Systems interests as a leader in OAC and low‑voltage meetings. Review project implementations to ensure compliance with approved design documents and QTS system standards. Work with the internal development team to enhance project management processes and protocols. Develop relationships with QTS Facility Operations Technology teams to understand their needs and deliver technologies supporting facility operations. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience. Eight or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including management of Lump Sum, Construction Management at Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out. Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for use in communicating program updates to executive level, and Excel to create and maintain site program and individual project budgets. Be able to travel up to 50% of the time. Preferred Qualifications MBA, Masters in Engineering, Management, or related field desirable. Experience with delivery of mission critical data center facilities. Extensive experience with management of MEP trades.
