Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Director of Advancement is responsible for the creation and implementation of a comprehensive stewardship and development program to secure the financial resources necessary to support, sustain and enhance the ministries and programs of Christ the King Church and School.

The Director of Advancement provides leadership and guidance alongside the pastor, collaborates with both the Finance Committee and Pastoral Council, and works with the parish staff to advance the mission of the church in helping parishioners grow their relationship with Jesus through a stewardship way of life.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Promote a culture of stewardship by engaging parish families through activities focused on sharing their gifts of time, talent and treasures.

Be the primary lead on all major fundraising activities that occur within the church and school.

Provide leadership and guidance for the Development Committee.
Manage the marketing and communications plan for all stewardship and development initiatives.

Continue researching new and creative ways to grow and enhance stewardship within the parish.

Acknowledge major donors through personalized recognition, but publicly and privately.

Track and report progress using metrics to evaluate the success of donor engagement efforts.

Create, maintain and utilize Donor/Donation Data: Analyze data based on tithing trends and giving history; Provide analytical data on giving trends to the Pastor and leadership councils.
