Programme Facilitator - Southampton (South Central) Outcome in a Day

Programmes Facilitator Salary: £28,064 per annum. Unsocial hours bonus: 30% for evenings, 50% for Saturdays. Pay progression via Competency Based Framework and annual civil service pay guidance. Location: Southampton, South Central region. Overview The Programmes Facilitator is responsible for delivering Accredited Programme and Structured Intervention sessions to people on probation, helping them reduce re‑offending risk and build constructive lives. It involves group work and individual support across a large regional area with travel required. Responsibilities Deliver Accredited Programme sessions to groups and individuals. Plan, facilitate and debrief sessions covering emotional management, problem solving, communication, thinking and social skills. Use group dynamics knowledge to manage sessions, model prosocial behaviour and challenge anti‑social attitudes. Monitor participant progress, provide feedback and record details on relevant systems. Work as part of a team to support performance targets and programme integrity. Contribute to risk assessment and treatment planning alongside Treatment Managers. Engage in regular training, feedback, development workshops and an assessment centre. Collaborate with Probation Practitioners, Domestic Abuse Safety Officers and partner agencies to share information on progress, risk and needs. Implement safeguarding policies by identifying and acting to protect vulnerable adults and children. Work up to three unsociable sessions per week (evenings and/or Saturdays). Travel to different delivery locations; travel expenses can be claimed. Qualifications & Experience Training in group work programme delivery as per Accredited Programme and Structured Interventions manuals. Experience delivering sessions to groups or individuals. Ability to monitor and record participant progress. Teamworking skills and understanding of programme performance targets. Experience with risk assessment and treatment planning. Commitment to receive continuous training and supervised development. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Availability for unsociable hours and travel. Working Arrangements and Travel Role involves evening and weekend sessions and requires travel across a large regional area. Travel expenses are claimable.
