About the role

We're looking for a commercially driven Key Account Manager to lead, develop, and grow relationships with some of our most important customers across the Midwest region. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled account management professional who thrives on building long-term partnerships, delivering customer value, and driving sustainable business growth.

As a trusted advisor to key customers, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping account strategies, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of strategic key accounts across the region
• Act as the primary commercial contact and trusted partner for customers, building strong relationships with influencers, decision-makers, and key stakeholders
• Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on customer retention, growth, and profitability
• Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning meetings with customers
• Identify and pursue opportunities for new business, increased market share, and new revenue streams
• Collaborate closely with Technical, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to deliver the best possible customer experience
• Manage sales forecasts and contribute to delivering regional business objectives within budget
• Share best practices and contribute to the continued development of commercial excellence across the business
• Build your profile as a respected industry partner and market influencer

About you

• Proven success in B2B sales and key account management, both direct and through distribution channels
• Strong experience in strategic selling, consultative selling, and new business development
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop long-term sales strategies and drive execution
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Financially aware, results-focused, and able to balance customer needs with business objectives
• Proven ability to lead change, improve performance, and support the development of others
• Broad understanding of commercial business operations, including sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain functions
• Proficient using MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Salesforce or another CRM

Desirable

• Experience managing large international or global accounts within the food industry is advantageous
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is desirable

Travel & Location Requirements

This role offers a flexible, home-based working model with 40-50% travel across the Midwest region to establish strong customer relationships and drive business growth. Candidates should be located within the Midwest or upper Midwest states , with convenient access to major highways and airports to support regular travel.
