Make a difference this school year by supporting students’ communication needs in a dynamic educational environment. An experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) is needed for a contract opportunity covering a maternity leave. This part-time assignment requires three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) with an anticipated start in early October, ending before winter break. There’s flexibility to onboard 1-2 weeks before the assignment for valuable shadowing time alongside the current SLP, ensuring a seamless transition. This role will focus on providing services to a dedicated caseload at the high school level, located near Haysville, KS.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective speech and language therapy to approximately 46 high school students.
• Balance consultative support (1,085 hours) and direct intervention (750 hours) as assigned.
• Document student progress, complete evaluations, and maintain compliance with IEP requirements.
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to foster positive outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with school administrators and participate in case conferences as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
• Previous experience working in school settings with adolescents preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage independent caseloads and work proactively with minimal supervision.
