Maternal-Child Health Nurse

Schedule: Nights, 4 - 12 hr shifts, 7 PM - 7 AM with every 3rd weekend minimum

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 48

Requirements:

• Active RN License
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 5 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Circulation experience preferred
• Willingness to care for GYN surgical and general post-operative patients

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deliver care to pregnant and laboring women, newborns, children, and families across the continuum of care.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Assist obstetrician, pediatrician, anesthesia, and healthcare teams in caring for patients.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, their families, and hospital staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate patient-centered behaviors and maintain a high level of accuracy and organization in daily work.

Compliance / Notes:

• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
• The facility has the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
