Project EngineerOur Nuclear Division in Brea, CA is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team! As the Project Engineer, you will perform a variety of mechanical engineering activities related to the design and development of new and legacy nuclear reactor product development for our commercial nuclear power customers.Location: Brea, CA (Hybrid)Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in California. Criteria such as the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.We Take Care of Our PeoplePaid Time Off | 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing | Health and Wellness Benefits | Learning and Development Opportunities | Referral Program | Competitive Pay | RecognitionYour Challenge:Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.Assist in developing the structural design of products, and provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.Design test control apparatus and equipment and develop procedures for testing products.Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.Track project schedule and costs. Report schedule escapes and cost overruns to management. Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects, and prepare contract documents.Establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition.What You Bring:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.Minimum 3+ years experience in the design and development of mechanical products.Highly regulated industry experience desired.Pumps, valves, and/or actuation experience highly preferred.Exposure to fluid dynamics and hydraulics preferred.ERP software experience.Who We Are:Enertech, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright, is a global leader in providing valves, actuators, snubbers, pipe restraints, instrumentation, diagnostics and test equipment to the Nuclear Power Industry.
