Project Manager - HRIS Implementation

Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a company-wide HRIS implementation, with a strong preference for candidates who have previously managed or supported HR technology implementations. The organization is implementing Rippling, and this individual will be responsible for driving the project forward on a day-to-day basis, coordinating key stakeholders, managing testing activities, and ensuring implementation milestones are completed successfully.

The Project Manager will serve as the central point of coordination between HR, IT, business stakeholders, implementation partners, and other key project participants. This person should be highly organized, comfortable working across multiple teams, and able to identify risks, resolve issues, and provide clear project updates to leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day activities of an HRIS implementation, including project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
• Support the implementation of Rippling, working closely with HR, IT, business leaders, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and ensure project activities remain on schedule.
• Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, test scripts/scenarios, execution, issue tracking, defect resolution, and final sign-off.
• Coordinate with functional stakeholders to validate system requirements, workflows, configurations, integrations, and business processes.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, issues, dependencies, and potential schedule impacts.
• Maintain RAID logs, action-item trackers, project documentation, and status reports.
• Provide regular project updates to leadership and key stakeholders, clearly communicating accomplishments, upcoming milestones, risks, issues, and required decisions.
• Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, testing sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
• Track outstanding decisions and action items and follow up with appropriate owners through completion.
• Work closely with HR and business teams to ensure the new HRIS supports organizational requirements and existing HR processes.
• Coordinate implementation activities across multiple workstreams, including data, integrations, testing, configuration, business processes, and change readiness.
• Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, implementation, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
• Ensure project documentation is complete, organized, and maintained throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Experience Requirements:

• Previous Project Management experience with HRIS/HCM implementations.
• Hands-on experience coordinating UAT testing for a system implementation.
• Experience managing project plans, status reporting, RAID logs, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
• Strong understanding of HR technology and HR business processes.
• Experience working with HR, IT, vendors, implementation partners, and senior business stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive deliverables in a fast-moving implementation environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide concise executive-level project updates.
• Experience with Rippling is highly preferred; experience implementing another major HRIS/HCM platform is also valuable.
• Strong organizational, documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred HRIS experience: Rippling, Workday, UKG, ADP Workforce Now, Dayforce, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar HR technology platforms.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, Project Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant HRIS/project management experience may be considered.
• PMP, CAPM, Scrum/Agile, or HR technology certifications are a plus, but not required.
