Special Education Teacher – Elementary Program
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support an elementary caseload of approximately 11 students. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, develop and manage IEPs, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to help students achieve academic and developmental success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to student needs and goals
- Conduct progress monitoring and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with related service providers, general education staff, administrators, and families
- Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom management techniques
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain compliance with special education regulations and district policies
- Foster a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Active state Special Education teaching license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Experience developing and managing IEPs
- Knowledge of special education compliance, case management, and instructional best practices
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and data-driven instruction
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary educational teams

- Approximately 11 elementary students
