Are you a skilled CNC Machinist who thrives on precision, takes pride in holding tight tolerances, and loves watching raw material transform into high-grade compenents? We're lookinf for detail oreintaed CNC Machine Operators to join our team, set up and execute complex runs, and help push our manufacturing quality to the next level. 

Operate computer numerically controlled horizontal or vertical lathe or machining center to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, and threading parts such as castings, forgings, and bar stock by performing the following duties:

• Reads process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
• Basic knowledge of machine tool programs
• Mounts work piece between centers, in chuck, or in fixture.
• Selects and installs preset tooling in tool posts, turrets or indexing heads, and automatic tool change magazine, in sequence specified on process sheet.
• Depresses buttons and starts machining operation on one or more machine tools simultaneously.
• Observes numerical displays on control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts.
• Turns dials and switches to override control and correct machine performance after authorization from area supervisor.
• Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
• Maintain clean and neat work area, including machine and floor. Required to have machine, floor and work area clean at the start of oncoming shift.
• Operator required to fill out timecards, process sheets, tub cards completely and accurately and complete reject tags on all nonconforming material and place in proper location by the end of their shift.

EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience as a CNC Machine Operator.
• Must be able to make tool offsets.
• Must have instant visual resignation of all types of inserts and tooling used in their area.
• Must have basic knowledge and the ability to use all types of gaging used in their work area.
• Must be able to read and interpret most geometric dimensions and tolerances on blueprints.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Anything over the 50-pound limit, lifting device and hoist is required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
