Key Responsibilities

• Lead the AHJ permitting process, including submission of structural and electrical engineering plan sets.

• Coordinate with city planners and municipal officials to resolve zoning, planning, and environmental issues.

• Manage utility interconnection processes, including NEM approvals and Interconnection Agreements.

• Coordinate final inspections with city inspectors, fire marshals, and utility engineers to obtain Permission to Operate (PTO).

• Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate clients, facility managers, and stakeholders.

• Lead client progress meetings and communicate project milestones, changes, and expectations.

• Coordinate facility access and construction logistics to minimize disruption to client operations.

• Prepare and send AIA billing to customers or general contractors when required.

• Conduct weekly project meetings and resolve project issues and setbacks.

• Coordinate between sales, engineering, procurement, and field construction teams.

• Lead internal design reviews with electrical and structural engineers.

• Ensure project designs meet client requirements, applicable codes, and project constraints.

• Hand off finalized design packages to field superintendents and construction foremen.

• Communicate project bottlenecks, schedule changes, and deployment risks to leadership.

• Manage multiple commercial solar projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Communications, Engineering, or related field.

• 3+ years of commercial solar deployment/project management experience.

• Strong experience with commercial solar permitting and utility interconnection.

• Knowledge of local AHJ building departments and permitting processes.

• Understanding of utility interconnection standards and NEM processes.

• Experience coordinating engineering drawings and construction activities.

• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
