This role is key in our Urgent Care department situated within a modern hospital setting in Port Saint Lucie. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and review medical histories to provide accurate diagnoses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including but not limited to blood tests, X-rays, and urgent imaging studies to aid in the rapid assessment of acute conditions.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, creating treatment plans that address patient needs effectively.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with chronic diseases, adapting care strategies based on individual progress.
• Prescribe necessary medications and meticulously monitor patient responses to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with health regulations and continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, preventive measures, and management strategies, emphasizing the importance of wellness and ongoing care.
• Actively engage in continuous professional development, attending workshops and seminars to remain current with medical advancements and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at Value Health Care Medical Center, you will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals of all ages presenting with various acute medical needs. Our urgent care setting caters to patients with non-life-threatening conditions, such as injuries, infections, and other health concerns requiring prompt attention. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) and DEA number, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Proven experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in urgent care, emergency room, or similar clinical environments.
• Extensive knowledge of health regulations, patient care practices, and clinical protocols.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in primary care or urgent care settings, demonstrating a high level of competency in acute care practices.
• Bilingual skills are a plus; fluency in Spanish is especially valuable in our community.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems for effective documentation and information sharing.
