Staff Accountant

Entry-Level Staff Accountant

Techstra Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is beginning their accounting career and wants to gain hands-on experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with numbers, and eager to learn. This position will work closely with members of the accounting and finance team to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting activities and general ledger maintenance
• Process accounts payable invoices and assist with vendor payments
• Assist with accounts receivable, customer invoicing, and payment application
• Prepare bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations
• Track weekly hours submissions from employees and contractors
• Communicate with clients, vendors and internal team on a daily basis
• Resolve client and vendor invoicing questions and information requests
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Record journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
• Assist with reviewing and maintaining accounting records
• Research and resolve discrepancies in accounts and transactions
• Assist with financial reporting and preparation of management reports
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records
• Assist with payroll-related accounting and reconciliations as needed
• Help ensure transactions are properly coded to the appropriate accounts
• Assist with audits, tax-related requests, and other accounting projects
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Recent college graduate or 02 years of accounting experience
• Experience with QuickBooks Online
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and spreadsheet functions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while also being a team player
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
