Step into a pivotal support role providing speech-language therapy services to students in grades 3–6 on a contract basis. Work onsite at a welcoming intermediate school near Birmingham, AL, collaborating closely with staff and students to facilitate communication success and academic achievement. Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Hold (or be eligible to obtain) a valid ABESPA Alabama SLP Certification and/or Alabama SLP DOE Certification (can start with either certification pending the other)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Experience delivering speech-language pathology services in a school environment preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions to students in 3rd through 6th grades
• Conduct evaluations, assess student needs, and document progress according to school and regulatory guidelines
• Develop and update goals aligned with students’ educational plans, collaborating with teachers and support staff
• Participate in IEP meetings and offer recommendations tailored to each student’s needs
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to school policies and compliance requirements

Assignment Details:

• Contract role; onsite presence required
• 15 hours per week (2 days weekly)
• Assignment runs from ASAP through late May 2027
• Serve one school with a manageable caseload
