Conducting Clinical Laboratory Tests

• Conduct both routine and complex clinical laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more, adhering strictly to protocols.
• Evaluate test results for precision, resolve discrepancies, and carry out maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments as necessary.
• Collect specimens and process samples for laboratory testing as needed.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all lab actions, assist in training new staff or students, and support the maintenance of quality standards in the laboratory.
• Ensure a clean, safe workspace while complying with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or possess an equivalent allied health degree paired with preparations for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications Needed

• ASCP or AMT certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) is expected to be obtained within the first year of hire.
• Maintain active certification throughout the duration of employment.
