Salary: $65,000–$80,000/year, depending on experience

About the Opportunity

An innovative and well-established Michigan law firm is seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join its team in Bloomfield Hills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment, takes ownership of their work, and wants to be part of a firm that is anything but traditional.

You will support two attorneys primarily in pre-litigation medical malpractice matters, playing an important role in keeping cases organized and moving forward. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of paralegal experience, strong attention to detail, and hands-on experience with lien resolution.

The firm is also highly technology-driven, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable with technology, enjoys learning new systems, and can quickly pick up new case management and legal software.

What You'll Do

• Support two attorneys with pre-litigation medical malpractice matters
• Assist with case organization, documentation, correspondence, and case management
• Coordinate and maintain medical records and other case-related documentation
• Assist with lien identification, negotiation, and resolution
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, lienholders, and other parties
• Prepare and organize documents, records, and correspondence
• Track case deadlines, tasks, and important case information
• Assist attorneys with case preparation and day-to-day case management
• Maintain accurate and well-organized electronic case files

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience
• Paralegal certificate is a plus
• Experience supporting medical malpractice matters required
• Hands-on lien resolution experience is preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with attorneys and colleagues
• Strong technology skills and the ability to quickly learn new software
• Experience with legal case management systems is required
• Professional, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach
