About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating 12-Hour Day and Night Shifts (3x12) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting as part of a float pool, covering all ICUs, Transitional Care Units, Emergency Department, and PACU as needed
• Operate and monitor advanced hemodynamic and life-support devices including ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters
• Float to various units and facilities within the health system as determined by patient census and staffing needs
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required by unit, specialty, or position

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License – must be in hand at time of submission
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Teaching hospital experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2.5 or more years of ICU experience
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters
