This role does not oversee field sales representatives. Instead, it focuses on inside sales, customer service, demand management, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and coordination between customers and manufacturing operations.The role acts as a critical bridge between customers, sales administration, and plant leadership across the division ensuring we are positioned for success.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Strategy & Plant AlignmentDevelop and execute sales strategies aligned with plant capacity, capabilities, and margin objectivesBalance new business development objectives with profitability goalsEnsure customer orders align with manufacturing capabilities, lead times, and cost structuresPartner with Operations and Plant Sales to support S&OP and demand planning processesSales Operations & Inside Sales LeadershipLead inside sales, customer service, and sales operations teamsEstablish standardized processes for quoting, order entry, pricing approvals, market share validation, and contract managementImprove responsiveness, accuracy, and customer communication throughout the order life cycleDrive accountability for order quality and commercial executionPricing & Margin ManagementOwn pricing strategy and margin performanceEnsure quoted and booked business meets profitability targetsCollaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Operations on cost-based pricingIdentify opportunities to maximize price with an overall view to increasing margin across the businessesForecasting & Demand ManagementOwn sales forecasting and demand signals feeding plant production planningDrive forecast accuracy to support capacity planning and inventory managementEnsure customer compliance with contractual obligationsIdentify demand risks, mix challenges, and opportunities earlyPartner with Production and External Customers on backlog and schedule alignmentKey Customer & Program OversightServe as senior commercial owner for strategic customers and long-term programsLead contract negotiations across multiple sites with a clear objective to maximize profit while maintaining market shareManage customer escalations impacting delivery, pricing, or qualityEnsure customer commitments are realistic and operationally executableCross-Functional LeadershipCollaborate closely with Plant Leadership, Engineering, Quality, and Supply ChainProvide market and customer insights to support capital investment and capacity planningAlign commercial priorities with safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectivesSupport continuous improvement initiatives tied to customer performanceTalent Development & LeadershipDevelop high performing inside sales and commercial teamsSet performance standards, KPIs, and development plansBuild bench strength for future sales and commercial leadership rolesPromote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focusQualifications:§ Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Operations, or related field. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Executive Bonus Plan, paid out up to 30% of the applicable annual base salary, based on the Company’s performance in the prior calendar year. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
