Work Environment

The work environment at Sustain Recovery is collaborative and engaging. As a member of our onsite team, you will work alongside other skilled therapists and healthcare professionals, enabling a multifaceted approach to rehabilitation. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and limitations, utilizing advanced assessment tools and methodologies.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address individual patient needs, factoring in personal goals and specific recovery challenges.
• Utilize hands-on therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and advanced modalities, to facilitate an effective recovery process.
• Monitor and record patient progress throughout their rehabilitation journey, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Educate patients and their families about injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and wellness strategies to support long-term health.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care and provide support in achieving both individual and organizational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Sustain Recovery, our patient population includes individuals recovering from various musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. We aim to foster a deep connection with our patients, allowing for personalized care that facilitates trust and encourages engagement in their rehabilitation process. You will work with an average caseload of 7 patients per day, which allows for meaningful interactions and a deeper focus on each individual's progress.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of New York is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills to develop effective treatment strategies.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy role, particularly in an outpatient setting, is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience with a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Prior involvement in patient education and community outreach programs is a plus.
