Cornerstone Family Practice & Urgent Care is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly organized Medical Receptionist for a busy outpatient practice. We are looking for a serious applicant who is professional, detail-oriented, patient-centered, and able to think critically in a fast-paced healthcare environment. 

The role is essential to the patient experience and daily office flow. The right candidate must be able to manage front desk responsibilities with accuracy, professionalism, sound judgment, and consistency. We are seeking someone who is observant, reliable, able to prioritize, and committed to doing quality work.

 

Responsibilities:

• Answer phones promptly, professionally, and courteously
• Greet and check in patients with accuracy and professionalism
• Schedule appointments correctly based on office workflow
• Verify demographics, insurance, and contact information carefully
• Collect copays and balances accurately
• Document and route messages in a timely and accurate manner
• Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical records
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Communicate clearly with patients, staff, and provider
• Support an efficient, organized, and professional front office
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior medical receptionist experience strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional phone etiquette 
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy setting
• Ability to problem-solve and use sound judgment
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to learn office systems and follow established workflow
• Stable work history
