Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Carrier Sales Representative with heavy haul & flatbed experience to help grow our capabilities within the specialized transportation market. This role will focus on building strong relationships with heavy haul, flatbed, and specialized transportation providers across North America. The ideal candidate will understand specialized equipment, capacity, and market pricing, and use that knowledge to help LoadDelivered win and successfully execute new freight opportunities.

Carrier Development & Relationship Management

• Identify, recruit, and establish relationships with heavy haul, flatbed, and specialized transportation providers across North America.
• Develop long-term relationships with carriers by understanding their equipment, preferred lanes, capabilities, capacity, and business needs.
• Maintain consistent communication with carrier partners to identify available capacity, preferred lanes, and new opportunities.

Sales & Negotiation:

• Negotiate competitive carrier rates while balancing capacity, service requirements, and profitability.
• Leverage carrier relationships and market knowledge to provide competitive pricing and help win new heavy haul and flatbed freight opportunities.

Operational Coordination:

• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to match specialized freight with the appropriate carrier, equipment, and capacity.
• Help ensure the successful execution of shipments by monitoring carrier performance, communication, and service expectations.

Market Analysis & Strategy:

• Monitor heavy haul and flatbed market conditions, carrier availability, equipment, and pricing trends.
• Provide carrier insights and market intelligence to help strengthen pricing strategies, expand specialized capacity, and support business growth.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in carrier sales, carrier procurement, or capacity within the freight brokerage or transportation industry.
• Previous experience with heavy haul, flatbed, oversized, or specialized freight is required.
• College degree is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of heavy haul, flatbed, and specialized transportation operations.
• Knowledge of specialized equipment, including flatbeds, step decks, RGNs/lowboys, double drops, and other heavy haul equipment.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong understanding of carrier pricing, capacity sourcing, and lane dynamics.
• Self-motivated with a strong drive to develop carrier relationships and achieve results.
