Are you a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT) seeking a dynamic opportunity to impact students across all grade levels? A contract position is available providing school-based occupational therapy services throughout the district, covering a 12-week FMLA/maternity leave starting August 27, 2026—with a strong likelihood of extension, though only the initial leave term can be guaranteed at this time.

You’ll work closely with students from Pre-K to 12th grade, implementing treatment plans, supporting a wide range of learning and physical needs, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary educational teams. Flexibility and commitment are essential, as this role involves serving multiple schools and adapting to various student populations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut COTA license/certification (CT DPH License & NBCOT exam) or active Connecticut OT license.
• Prior school-based experience preferred, and experience with Pre-K–12th grade students is highly valued.
• Reliable transportation for district-wide travel.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively within educational teams.
• Ability to document student progress and support therapeutic interventions under supervision (COTA).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy sessions as prescribed in student IEPs.
• Adapt and implement treatment strategies for students with diverse learning and developmental needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interventions and student progress.
• Engage in collaboration with teachers, related service providers, and families.
• Support the overall mission of enhancing students’ participation and success in the school environment.
