Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver in Manhattan Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor assigned areas for policy compliance, assist with crowd and line management during busy business periods, and report maintenance, hazard, and/or property-related issues to the appropriate site representative.
- Support closing and opening activities as assigned, observe deliveries and vendor activity, and help to deter unauthorized access, loitering, and/or disruptive behavior within the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
