Overview
Registered Nurse – MICU in a high-acuity, 30-bed Medical ICU within a hospital setting in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a travel - temporary assignment beginning 11/02/2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The shift is Day, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week. The role supports critically ill adults with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, and chronic kidney disease. ACLS and BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adults in MICU, including monitoring hemodynamics, ventilated patients, and patients on continuous infusions.
- Assess and respond to acute changes in patient condition; implement and adjust treatments per physician orders and ICU protocols.
- Administer medications, titrate vasoactive infusions, manage ventilation settings as appropriate, and interpret arterial blood gases and other critical labs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and support staff); participate in daily rounds and contribute to care planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, ensure adherence to infection control practices, and provided patient and family education as needed.
- Ensure patient safety and escalation of concerns in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent MICU/ICU experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Proficiency in ventilator management and invasive monitoring
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity MICU setting
- Must be able to work Day shift (12-hour shifts) and support the 3-day-per-week schedule
