Billing Clerk Location: Hybrid, NW Houston (4 days per week in office, work from home Fridays) Employment Type: contract to hire Summary The Billing Clerk is responsible for accurate and timely invoicing, credits, re-bills, PO verification, and processing invoices from the SNI (Shipped Not Invoiced) report. This role supports efficient billing operations and revenue recognition. Job Duties & Responsibilities Prepare accurate client billing on a daily and monthly basis. Manage billing cycles to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Respond to billing inquiries from clients and internal teams; resolve escalations as needed. Work independently to complete daily tasks and support AR and Cash Application teams. Upload required backup documentation to NAV for invoicing and revenue recognition. Support portal-based customers (Open Invoice, Ariba, Oildex). Perform other assigned duties as needed. Skills & Knowledge Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting systems, and spreadsheets. Strong Excel skills and experience with Windows-based programs. Basic understanding of accounting principles and math. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work under SOX compliance. Experience with high-volume invoicing and strong organizational skills. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of Accounts Receivable and billing experience.
