This individual provides strategic leadership to Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews while ensuring excellence in safety, productivity, quality, scheduling, and workforce planning.This role serves as the primary conduit between project management, operations leadership, fabrication, and field execution, ensuring piping work is executed according to company standards, project requirements, and client expectations.This position is ideal for an experienced piping leader who has progressed from the tools into leadership and is ready to drive consistency, accountability, and performance across multiple jobs.Key Responsibilities:Field Leadership & OperationsProvide oversight and leadership for all piping field operations across multiple active projectsDirectly supervise and support Piping Superintendents and ForemenEnsure consistent execution of company standards for safety, quality, and productivityParticipate in project kickoff meetings, field planning sessions, and leadership reviewsSafety & ComplianceChampion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policiesConduct regular site walks, safety audits, and leadership safety discussionsPartner with safety teams to address hazards, incident prevention, and corrective actionsSchedule, Productivity & QualityWork closely with Project Managers to develop and support project schedules and manpower plansProactively identify and resolve constructability, labor, or sequencing challengesEnsure piping installations meet contract documents, specifications, and quality standardsSupport field quality control, inspections, testing, and turnover activitiesWorkforce Development & PlanningAssist in manpower forecasting, hiring needs, and workforce allocationMentor and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and key craft leadersPromote apprenticeship growth, training initiatives, and long‑term talent developmentSupport labor relations and maintain positive field cultureCoordination & CommunicationServe as a key liaison between field teams, fabrication, purchasing, and project managementSupport prefabrication strategies, material planning, and logistics coordinationCommunicate effectively with internal stakeholders and, when appropriate, clients and site leadershipQualifications & Experience:10+ years of experience in commercial or industrial piping constructionPrior experience as a General Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or equivalent senior field leadership roleStrong background in carbon steel, stainless, copper, and specialty piping systemsProven ability to manage multiple projects and field teams simultaneouslyDeep understanding of construction sequencing, labor productivity, and jobsite logisticsStrong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skillsAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and labor projectionsOSHA 30 (preferred) or willingness to obtainValid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as requiredWe Are Proud to Offer Our Team Members:Competitive compensation and performance‑based incentivesMedical, Vision, and Dental insurancePaid holidays and flexible, generous PTO – 2 weeks after 90 days, with the opportunity to gain up to 5 weeks401(k) Plan with multiple investment optionsTraining and Leadership Development ProgramsCompany‑paid Employee Assistance ProgramEmployee discount programsCompany‑paid and voluntary life insuranceCompany‑paid and voluntary accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D)Company‑paid short‑term disability and voluntary long‑term disabilityHealthcare reimbursement account and dependent care reimbursement accountHealth savings account with company contributionsVehicle discount purchase programsDisclaimer:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.
