Experienced Bartender WantedNew Land Hospitality team members are the ambassadors to each of the brands we represent by providing an exceptional experience for guests through excellent customer service and teamwork. NLH businesses include Crossroads Collective Food Hall; Pharmacy Bar inside Crossroads Collective Food Hall; Shanghai, a classic yet modern speakeasy in Black Cat Alley; and Canopy Bar, a private bar located on the 25th floor of the luxurious and restorative Ascent apartment building. Throughout the summer, we also open outdoor bars in Ivanhoe Plaza and Black Cat Alley for special events.We are looking for an experienced, professional bartender who can work independently in one or more of our bars.Core Skills and QualificationsRequired:Two or more years of bartending experienceAvailable to work at least 3 shifts per week including nights and weekends, as neededMust maintain a valid bartender's license for duration of employmentAbility to develop and maintain positive working relationships with both colleagues and guests through excellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environmentJob Duties, including but not limited to:Stocking the bar before and after each shift with all required ingredients and supplies, including following recipes for batches, syrups, cutting garnishes, juices, etc.Consistently preparing all menu items according to their instructions; including craft cocktails, classic cocktails, beer, wine, and N/A optionsPutting orders away as they are deliveredPreparing light snacks from the bar menuProviding excellent customer service to all Canopy guestsCompleting opening / closing duties and side-work throughout shiftRinging in all orders through the POS system, processing payment, and cash handlingUpholding the integrity of the beverage program with a high level of knowledge on brand standards, technique, and expectations in craft beverage serviceReporting out of stock items to supervisor to ensure adequate ordering for the next weekGeneral Notes:This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive; additional details will be specified by the supervisor.
