The Dental Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of a dental office by managing appointment bookings and maintaining clear communication with patients. Working within a medium-sized team of 4-10 members, the Dental Scheduler reports directly to the Front Office Supervisor and supports the efficient scheduling of dental services, insurance verifications, and patient follow-ups.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointment details and changes
• Verify patient insurance information prior to appointments
• Enter and maintain patient data within scheduling software
• Conduct follow-up calls to confirm or reschedule appointments
• Send patient reminders to reduce no-shows and improve attendance

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in dental administration
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient with appointment scheduling software
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Attention to detail in managing schedules and patient information
• Familiarity with basic dental terminology
