Job Summary Full‑time Cook (Thursday to Monday, 10:30am – 7:00pm). The primary responsibility is to prepare all food items in accordance with approved recipes and menus, ensuring quality, nutrition, temperature, and presentation while maintaining kitchen safety and cleanliness. Essential Job Duties Arrive on time and prepared for the shift – 100% Prepare all meals per menu and recipes, meeting dietary requests – 100% Serve food at correct temperature and maintain chart – 5% Provide proper plate presentation – 5% Consult with the Director of Dining Services on menu changes – 5% Keep food storage areas clean and organized – 100% Comply with all governmental, sanitary and dietitian regulations; report infractions – 100% Handle incoming food orders promptly – 10% Dispose of waste and store leftovers properly – 5% Record temperatures of refrigerators, freezers and dishwashers – 5% Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas – 100% Supervise servers and dishwashers – 100% Stock and prepare upcoming menu items – 30% Store and use inventory safely and efficiently – 100% Promote positive teamwork – 100% Perform other duties as assigned – 10% Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Age over 18 years Background clearance per government regulations Current Food Handlers Permit Minimum two years’ cooking experience Negative TB test Excellent communication skills (English) Proficient with computer, word processing, email, Excel, scanners, copiers and fax machines Professional demeanor when interacting with team members, residents, family members and visitors Physical Demands Lift or push up to 50lbs Move intermittently throughout the day and community Stand for extended periods Benefits Full‑time benefits package – medical, dental, vision and up to 4% 401(k) match Childcare and eldercare assistance Flexible spending accounts Health and wellness resources Team‑member discounts Equal Opportunity Statement MBK Senior Living is an equal‑opportunity employer.
