Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

For the upcoming 2026-27 academic year, numerous contract positions will be available throughout the city, spanning all grade levels from Pre-K through 12. Whether you specialize in Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Extensive Support Needs (Moderate/Severe), or Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), your expertise is highly valued. Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California Special Education Teaching Credential in one or more areas: Mild/Moderate (M/M), Extensive Support Need (Moderate/Severe), or ECSE.
- Background working with students with a wide range of needs.
- Experience across grade levels PreK-12 preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to differentiated instruction.
- Passion for fostering inclusive learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs in diverse classroom settings.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Maintain ongoing communication with families and school staff regarding student progress and goals.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to suit each student’s learning style.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings.
- Support a positive, collaborative school culture.
