Role Summary

Seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to support and lead continuous improvement initiatives for an enterprise ServiceNow implementation. This role will lead custom development, design and implementation across multiple ServiceNow modules while providing technical leadership, hands-on coding, stakeholder collaboration, and support for the ServiceNow roadmap. The position requires strong ServiceNow development expertise, particularly with CSM, HAM, CMDB, and HRSD.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead custom development and technical reviews for ServiceNow modules and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level staff.
• Gather and document business and system requirements and support development of use cases and testing procedures.
• Assist with the architecture, design, management, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions.
• Design implementation plans, SOPs, and system architecture for project deployments.
• Design, configure, and implement application environments and production-support processes.
• Design and develop Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs, including advanced scripting.
• Develop automation workflows, perform unit testing, and conduct technical reviews to ensure coding standards, best practices, and platform performance.
• Support software development using an Agile framework, including daily scrums and ceremonies, story updates, and development documentation in ServiceNow.
• Design and implement integrations and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
• Gather feedback, identify project risks and challenges, evaluate alternatives, and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate project meetings with technical staff and stakeholders.
• Prepare project status reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain the project documentation repository.
• Ensure development complies with security policies and ServiceNow Technical Best Practices.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate with clients and vendors to achieve project objectives.
• Provide accurate work estimates and assist with implementation of new features, interfaces, contracts with storage systems, and data transformation.

Required Technical Skills

• ServiceNow development experience, with CSM as the highest-priority area .
• Hands-on ServiceNow development across multiple modules, particularly:
• Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
• Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
• Customer Service Management (CSM)
• HR Service Delivery (HRSD)
• Familiarity with:
• ITSM
• ITOM
• ITAM
• Hands-on ServiceNow custom-scoped application development.
• ServiceNow JavaScript/GLIDE.
• HTML5.
• Angular JS.
• jQuery.
• CSS.
• Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs.
• Advanced scripting.
• Flow Designer.
• ServiceNow integrations and integration with external systems.
• Automation workflow development and unit testing.
• ServiceNow Technical Best Practices.
• AI experience with Now Assist, third-party LLM APIs, and Automatic Test Framework .

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Okta and SSO technologies.
• Organizational change management experience.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Certification.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Certification.
• ITIL v3 Foundations Certification.
• Project management experience.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer , with a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform's architecture and capabilities.
• Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• At least 6 years of experience with design, development, and support .
• At least 4 years of experience leading software development projects .
• Demonstrated experience working on large-scale projects in diverse team environments.
• Strong leadership skills while remaining hands-on with coding and development.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter who demonstrates initiative and presents ideas to overcome challenges.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented approach.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance prior to the start date.
• Active ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator (CSA) certification, or ability to obtain the certification within 3 months of hire.
