Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Pulse Medical Transportation, Inc. a growing and progressive ambulance provider, currently has an opening for the position of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The EMT will be responsible for safely transporting stretcher-bound patients, via ambulance, between various origins and destinations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Respond to pre-scheduled, time-sensitive, and/or emergency transport calls in an efficient and professional manner.
* Provide a high standard of patient care in both emergent and non-emergent settings.
* Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury and establishes priority for required care.
* Render emergency medical, basic medical or trauma care, to adults, children and infants based on assessment findings.
* Constantly assess the patient en-route to the emergency facility, administer additional care as indicated or directed by medical control
* Report verbally and in writing, their observation and emergency medical care of the patient at the emergency scene and in transit, to the receiving medical facility staff for purposes of records and diagnostics upon request provides assistance to the receiving medical facility staff.
* Complete electronic patient care records in a timely and complete fashion.

Knowledge & Skills

* Ability to lift and maneuver up-to 250 pounds with assistance and without difficulty.
* Ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty and the ability to lift and carry 250 pounds up and down two flights of stairs with assistance and without difficulty
* Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, using good judgment and common sense with a thorough understanding of the principles of emergency medical care.
* Ability to work efficiently and interact in a constructive and professional manner with other internal and external team members/customers

Education/Licensing/Certification:

* MUST POSSESS A CURRENT EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION
* CPR certification
* Current, New Jersey driver's license
