Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in a critical access hospital located in Carthage, Tennessee. This role involves providing care in the Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Post-Partum units, supporting maternity women and newborns. The position offers a consistent night shift schedule starting on August 31, 2026, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, and NRP. Candidates must possess at least 1 year (or more) of experience working in Labor and Delivery, hold the necessary licensure to work as an RN in Tennessee, and have the ability to perform in the Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Post-Partum units.
• Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification, experience with Centricity and Meditech electronic health record systems, and familiarity with couplet care.
• Unit Information:
  • Department: Labor & Delivery, Nursery, Postpartum
  • Number of Beds: 2 labor beds and 3 postpartum beds
  • Patient Ratios: 1:2
  • Patient Population: Maternity women and newborns
• Additional Information:
  • Orientation is conducted weekly on Mondays.
  • Candidates must be located at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered.
  • Must have Tennessee-specific checks against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to start date.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Dress Code: Scrubs (any color); casual or other facility apparel not permitted.
  • This is a contractor replacement position, with one opening available.
