Bookkeeper

Our client is looking for an bookkeeper for immediate hire to support expansion into the Florida Landscaping Market. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an office environment with a small business, preferably in construction, and using Quickbooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel. This person needs strong interpersonal skills to be able to help build and promote a teamwork environment in the office.

Essential Duties:

• Data entry for Bills, and Receipts into QuickBooks, assuring that all expenses are entered into the appropriate Business Class.
• Manage licenses and permits when needed, in support of the Project Coordinator.
• Manage the incentives paid to staff along with the HR Manager.
• Assure all Credit card receipts are entered into the Accounting System, and keep a log to be reviewed with the HR Manager.
• Assist in day-to-day reporting functions for senior management.
• Assist in month-end and year-end financial reconciliation.
• Support the Accountant in all data entry into QuickBooks, assuring that bills are classed accordingly.
• Support the Project Coordinators in reconciling field activity to the QuickBooks Project reports.
• Supporting the Civil Project Coordinator in allocation of bills, job costing, project advance scheduling, reception of field reports, and permit ology.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping, ideally in the Landscaping or Construction Industries
• High School degree or higher-level education.
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while holding strong attention to detail
• High level of professionalism is required to communicate with team members, vendors, and customers
• Willingness to learn industry specific operational systems.
