Why This Opportunity Stands Out Contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential Free onsite parking in Seattle Exposure to large-scale construction and public works projects Work directly with Project Managers and leadership teams Established, financially strong organization with continued growth Hands-on involvement in project accounting, job costing, billing, AP, AR, and payroll What You'll Do Manage project accounting activities across multiple active construction projects Process high-volume Accounts Payable and support Accounts Receivable functions Prepare and support progress billings, retention tracking, and project reporting Review subcontractor documentation, lien releases, and contract compliance requirements Perform job costing analysis and reconcile project financial data Process weekly union payroll and certified payroll reporting Support month-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations Partner with Project Managers to monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance Assist with audits and financial reporting requirements Utilize JD Edwards, Textura, Procore, and Excel to manage project financials What We're Looking For Required 3+ years of construction accounting or project accounting experience Experience with public works projects Strong Accounts Payable and project billing experience Knowledge of job costing, lien releases, retention, and progress billings Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Preferred JD Edwards experience Textura or Procore experience Certified payroll and union payroll experience Experience working with contractors and subcontractors Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience) Ideal Backgrounds Commercial Construction Firms Public Works Contractors Heavy Civil Construction Design-Build Organizations Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
