Sr. Investor Relations Analyst - BSC (Hybrid)

Primary Purpose Develop, implement, and execute analysis, processes and projects within Investor Relations, focused on company and industry data analysis; market surveillance; communications/messaging; shareholder analysis; valuation and analyst research; and earnings release preparation. Primary Duties Market Surveillance: Perform research and analytics to monitor market performance and expectations for EXC and peer companies. Prepare and distribute stock updates and monthly market summaries to EXC management. Monitor news and prepare talking points as needed. Support maintenance of the IR Q&A document and ensure information is current. Data Analysis: Work with the IR team to expand fundamental analytical capabilities specific to Exelon and to the utilities industry, providing broader stock market perspective to the organization. Communications/Messaging: Prepare internal and external presentations, including sell‑side and EEI conference presentations, IR messaging meetings, annual investor sustainability report, quarterly financial review, leadership, and Board of Directors presentations. Own development of the IR site, ensuring content is up‑to‑date and complete. Support development of IR 101 materials. Shareholder Analysis: Research and analyze Exelon’s shareholders and peer shareholders to identify trends, new potential investors, and produce reports of shareholder trends/types/shifts/activity for senior management. Analyst Research: Leverage findings from the IR model and sell‑side model review to develop conference and other public presentations. Review sell‑side research and prepare IR summaries for senior management. Earnings Release Preparation: Assist in developing earnings release materials, leading efforts on earnings presentation. Verify all release materials for accuracy and consistency before release. Compile earnings season peer tracking document for IR review and distribute senior management. Develop post‑earnings reaction materials for senior management and Board of Directors. Job Scope Impact to corporate image is significant through analytical work output and periodic reporting. Results are used by executives, directors, managers, the Board of Directors, and external interested parties. The role reports to the Director of Investor Relations and supports the CFO and VP of IR. It requires collaboration across the Corporation, with key external constituents including vendors, buy‑side analysts, and sell‑side research analysts. Key internal constituents include Controllership and Tax, Corporate and Utility FP&A, Financial Operations, Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, Communications, Corporate Secretary’s office, Regulatory and External Affairs, and other Utility Business areas. Minimum Qualifications Undergraduate degree in a related field required. MBA, CFA and/or CPA preferred. 5–8 years of combined experience in sell‑side or buy‑side research, investment banking, corporate development, corporate reporting, finance, or investor communications, with at least 3 years in the utility industry or similar analytical roles. High degree of ethics and ability to exercise judgment with senior management while maintaining confidentiality. Excellent analytical skills, including financial modeling and experience with financial statement analysis. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience compiling effective presentations. Self‑starter who plans and executes with minimal oversight; strong sense of ownership; and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through project management and planning skills. Preferred Qualifications Undergraduate degree in a related field required.
