Sr. Software Engineer

Salary: $89,000 - 117,000 per year Requirements:

• We require either a bachelors degree in a related discipline plus 5+ years of directly relevant experience, or 7+ years of directly relevant experience.
• We require hands-on experience with C#, Async/Await, .NET (8+ preferred), and SQL, including Microsoft SQL or other relational databases.
• We value strong written and verbal communication skills.
• We need someone who is self-directed and able to work both independently and as part of a team on defined tasks.
• We expect experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• We look for experience enhancing object-oriented applications backed by relational databases.
• We expect familiarity with software and database architecture and design methods.

• We expect the ability to review peers designs and code in a constructive, collaborative manner.
• Preferred experience includes React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, desktop UI libraries such as WinForms or WPF, REST API frameworks such as WebAPI, MVC or MVVM, unit and integration testing, Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code, and SQL Server Management Studio.

• We develop software within a team environment for an information-technology-intensive business.
• We review, analyze, evaluate, and translate business and user needs into software specifications.
• We take part in estimating, planning, and scheduling software development work.
• We contribute to the design of software systems, user interfaces, web services, processing algorithms, communications methods, and other key components.
• We build software in C#, ReactJS, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL using standard coding practices.
• We perform unit, integration, and system-level testing.
• We support SQA with integration and system testing.
• We participate in code reviews.
• We provide technical support to project teammates, business users, and management.
• We analyze and improve performance of software and database systems.
• We lead medium-sized projects, including detailed design, development effort, and timelines.
• We mentor junior developers to support their growth.
• We design performance-focused models, relational database structures, and access patterns.
• We participate in on-call rotations as needed to resolve support issues.
• We carry out other duties as assigned by management.
