Pain Management Nurse Practitioner - Full-Time

Position Overview

Cardinal Medical Center is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Pain Management Nurse Practitioners to join our dynamic team in Plano, Texas. This full-time, onsite position offers an exciting opportunity to work in an outpatient office setting, where you will play a pivotal role in assessing and treating patients with pain management needs. Work Environment

As a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and therapy specialists. Our facility is equipped with advanced technology for diagnostic and treatment processes, ensuring that you have the tools needed to provide top-notch care to your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations on patients presenting with pain-related conditions.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests to formulate an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Manage both narcotic and non-narcotic medication regimens in alignment with established practice guidelines, focusing on achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Assess patients' candidacy for interventional pain treatments including, but not limited to, epidural steroid injections, trigger point injections, and spinal cord stimulator placements.
• Perform therapeutic injections such as trigger point injections and greater occipital nerve blocks to alleviate pain symptoms.
• Educate patients and families on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options to enhance their understanding and adherence.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans in our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily care for adults experiencing chronic pain conditions of varying complexities. Your patient population may include individuals with conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain syndromes. A strong emphasis will be placed on personalized care approaches that recognize the unique challenges and goals of each patient.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Active and unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge in pain management strategies.
• Geriatric experience or a background in family practice is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Critical Care, Telemedicine, or working in a hospital setting is highly encouraged.
• Familiarity with outpatient pain management protocols and interventional techniques.
• Prior experience with electronic medical records systems will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

Our competitive salary range for this position is USD 85,000 – 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer an extensive benefits package that includes:
