Senior Sales Manager, Solid State Transformer

Trina Solar provides integrated green energy solutions combining solar PV and energy storage for large-scale data centers. It has localized project development capabilities for AI computing/data center facilities in North America, as well as global technical service capabilities for data center power supply equipment. Trina Solar International System Business Unit (ISBU) is a project development platform of Trina Solar, one of the global leading renewable energy solution providers.

Main Responsibilities:

• In alignment with the Company’s global energy development roadmap, formulate medium-to-long term and annual sales strategies for North American data center power supply equipment business. Establish annual sales budgets, profit targets and market coverage objectives, track strategy implementation, and drive sustainable revenue growth.
• Deeply explore energy consumption demands of high-energy-consuming industrial enterprises, leading cloud service providers and data center campuses. Drive sales of data center power supply products including HVDC, SST Solid State Transformer, precision power distribution, UPS, high-power power supplies, prefabricated modules, PDUs and power distribution cabinets; cover sales of high-power converters, energy storage PCS and power conversion equipment.
• Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations, including participation in bidding and tendering, technical benchmarking, equipment supply contract signing, and commercial risk management.
• Develop an ecosystem of partners including EPC general contractors, electric power design institutes, grid service providers and industrial investment institutions. Establish standardized channel cooperation mechanisms to improve project delivery efficiency and expand market coverage.
• Full-cycle sales management: Manage the whole chain including opportunity identification, technical solution communication, quotation, tendering, contract performance and payment collection, shorten sales cycles and strictly control accounts receivable risks. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, procurement, legal, after-sales teams and external consultants to resolve technical, delivery and commercial bottlenecks and ensure smooth project delivery.
• Monitor regional energy policies, grid connection standards, competitor dynamics and market price trends. Regularly deliver market analysis reports, provide optimization feedback to product and R&D teams to support product iteration and pricing strategy formulation.

Skills and Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, Marketing, Automation and other engineering or business-related disciplines are preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in data center power supply products. Proven track record of delivering power distribution projects for large-scale data centers. Possess outstanding capabilities in market development, C-level commercial negotiation and resource integration, capable of closing full sales cycles from lead generation to delivery and payment collection.
• Prior North America regional sales experience in power electronics / semiconductor power supply manufacturers.
• Sales experience serving North American hyperscaler data centers and colocation data center operators, as well as infrastructure customers of EPC companies.
• Established connections with data center infrastructure, equipment procurement, power planning, engineering procurement and infrastructure architecture teams of North American cloud hyperscalers.
• Familiar with large North American AIDC general contractors, Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) providers and overseas EPC ecosystem.
• Thorough understanding of Hyperscaler procurement workflow in North America: PoC prototype testing → laboratory verification → pilot data center deployment → standard certification → framework bulk procurement.
• Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred.

Technical Competency:

• Understand SST Solid State Transformer architecture with 10kV/35kV input and 800V HVDC output;
• Able to compare technical merits and demerits of conventional line-frequency transformers, Panama Power and HVDC solutions; Grasp power supply pain points of AI high-density computing hubs (power density, footprint, energy efficiency, bidirectional dispatch, SiC device application);
• Capable of reading basic electrical schemes, loss calculation and data center power distribution topology. Able to conduct peer-level technical discussions with customer electrical engineers and infrastructure architects independently.

Market & Competitive Awareness:

• Possess existing SST channel resources covering leading power electronics manufacturers and emerging energy tech startups;
• Familiar with power supply evolution roadmap for AI data centers of North American hyperscalers, vendor pilot progress, access thresholds and certification cycles.

Business Model Awareness:

• Familiar with two mainstream delivery models: ① Direct hardware equipment sales; ② EaaS (Energy-as-a-Service) model (leasing, pay-as-you-go, co-development of infrastructure). Understand commercial clauses for long-term framework agreements, volume-based pricing tiers and multi-year forecast orders.
• Sharp market insight and commercial judgment to accurately identify customer energy transition pain points and emerging market opportunities.
• Strong target orientation, sense of responsibility, ability to work under pressure and innovative problem-solving mindset.
