Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a pivotal contract role making a direct impact on students’ lives in an inclusion classroom setting. This opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with the potential for additional pre- and post-planning days to support a smooth transition and strong start. You’ll work full-time (37.5 hours per week) in a vibrant elementary environment alongside two supportive, collaborative teams. The caseload includes approximately 8-9 students within an inclusion setting, allowing for focused, personalized instruction and the chance to truly see your work make a difference.

What you’ll bring:

  • Valid GaPSC Teaching Educator Certificate with SPED General Curriculum endorsement
  • Experience or strong interest in inclusion settings
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to differentiation and individualized instruction
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
  • Flexibility, reliability, and readiness to engage in both instructional and planning activities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide direct instruction and support for students with exceptional needs in the inclusion classroom
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers and specialists to adapt curriculum and implement accommodations
  • Develop and monitor IEPs and student progress
  • Communicate proactively with families and staff regarding student growth and needs
  • Engage in planning, meetings, and professional development to enhance student outcomes
  • Support a culture of respect, inclusion, and encouragement for all learners
