Make a positive impact supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school setting near Chicago, IL. This contract opportunity offers two full-time positions available for an immediate start, extending through the remainder of the school year. One role centers on case management responsibilities, while the other takes on a traditional teaching position with a caseload of 20 elementary students. Both roles focus on providing individualized instruction and support in an inclusive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credentials required
• Experience with elementary school students preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well with diverse student populations, families, and staff
• Organizational skills and adaptability to handle case management or teaching responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
• Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modify curriculum as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to maximize student learning
• Monitor and document student progress, updating goals and strategies as required
• Manage student caseloads, with one position focusing on case management and the other on direct teaching
• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
