IT Field Support Specialist Full Time Annapolis Junction, MD, US 9 days ago Requisition ID: 3437 Job Description Quevera is seeking a highly skilled IT Field Support Specialist with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Annapolis Junction and Columbia, Maryland . In this role, you will provide advanced field support, hardware deployment, and infrastructure maintenance to ensure reliable enterprise IT operations supporting critical national security missions. Working alongside a collaborative IT support team, you will deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support, perform hardware installations, conduct site surveys, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across customer locations. You'll collaborate with engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable IT services while ensuring operational excellence and outstanding customer support. As an IT Field Support Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to support enterprise technologies, work directly with customers, and contribute to secure, high-performing IT environments supporting mission success. Work Schedule Duty Hours: Must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM , as determined by management. Job Responsibilities Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, test, and maintain enterprise hardware to maximize system availability and performance. Conduct site surveys to assess existing configurations, infrastructure, and customer requirements. Develop technical documentation, configuration diagrams, and records supporting system installations and infrastructure changes. Analyze hardware requirements and prepare technical specifications for equipment procurement. Develop installation schedules and support hardware deployment projects. Prepare installation, testing, and project completion documentation. Install, configure, and support computer hardware, peripherals, communications equipment, and associated cabling. Build and install specialized interconnecting cables supporting unique hardware integrations. Maintain government and vendor fiber optic modems, multiplexers, Ethernet infrastructure, fiber optic cabling, and telephone systems. Train end users on the proper use and maintenance of installed hardware and equipment. Utilize ticketing systems to document incidents, track work, and support IT service management processes. Provide remote and onsite end-user technical support while resolving connectivity and hardware issues. Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and business units to support infrastructure improvements and project success. Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required. Current customer access required. High school diploma or GED. One (1) to two (2) years of relevant IT support experience. DoD 8570 certification required. Security+ certification preferred. Experience installing, repairing, and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals. Experience installing Microsoft Windows operating systems, software applications, antivirus software, and security patches. Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply technical manuals and schematics. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems. Familiarity with Active Directory security and policies. Experience providing remote end-user technical support. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities. Physical Requirements Must be able to drive a company vehicle. Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and other physical activities associated with field support operations. Why Join Quevera?
