Labor Management Relations Associate Attorney Direct Counsel is seeking a Labor Management Relations Associate Attorney with 3--7 years of experience to join a leading national law firm and its highly regarded Labor & Employment practice. Locations New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA Position Overview The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in traditional labor law , with experience handling labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice matters before the National Labor Relations Board, collective bargaining, and union avoidance. Responsibilities Represent employers in traditional labor matters and labor-management relations. Handle labor arbitrations , including first- or second-chair experience. Prosecute and defend unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) . Advise clients regarding collective bargaining and union-related matters. Counsel employers on union avoidance strategies and labor relations issues. Represent clients in labor disputes and related proceedings. Handle wage and hour class and collective actions, particularly matters involving unionized employees, as applicable. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents. Work collaboratively with attorneys across offices and practice groups. Provide practical, business-oriented advice while maintaining strong client relationships. Qualifications 3--7 years of traditional labor law experience . Experience with labor arbitrations, including first- or second-chair experience. Experience prosecuting and defending unfair labor practice charges before the NLRB. Experience with collective bargaining and union avoidance. Wage and hour class and collective action experience, particularly involving unionized employees, is preferred. Strong academic credentials. Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively across offices and collaborate in a team-oriented environment. Strong commitment to client service. J.D. from an accredited law school. Admission to practice in the applicable jurisdiction required. Compensation The anticipated initial salary range for this position is $245,000--$325,000 annually , depending on qualifications, experience, location, and other job-related factors. The position is also eligible for productivity and discretionary bonuses . Work Environment The firm maintains a hybrid work environment, with attorneys expected to work from a firm office three days per week while supporting flexibility and work-life balance.
