Contract Pulmonologist

Network Specialist Licensed/Board Certified/Board Eligible professionals in specialties such as urology, otolaryngology, orthopedics, pain management, dermatology, or wound care are invited to join our clinical operations team. This role involves direct patient care and assessment primarily in ambulatory health care centers, with occasional assignments in acute care, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, and home settings. Responsibilities Conduct geriatric assessment, medical history, physical exam, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Develop care plans, provide health education, and facilitate case management referrals. Document patient encounters according to ChenMed standards for quality, service, productivity, and teamwork. Participate in conferences and produce detailed progress notes and summaries. Perform clinical examinations, tests, and interpret laboratory results to diagnose endocrine gland related issues. Communicate treatment plans and lifestyle recommendations to patients and caregivers. Monitor treatment progress, evaluate effectiveness, and adjust plans as needed. Coordinate with primary care providers and other specialists, including surgical recommendations and referrals for outside therapy. Prescribe and renew medications, ensuring all prescriptions meet regulatory requirements. Stay current with advances in the specialty and provide training to center personnel when requested. Attend center meetings and perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Skills Rigorous medical training with extensive knowledge of specialty conditions and evidence‑based treatment approaches. Proficiency in specialty equipment such as ultrasound and EKG. Excellent bedside manner, clear communication, and ability to explain medical information without jargon. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook and internal systems. Leadership and collaborative skills; ability to work with PCPs, hospital settings, and multidisciplinary teams. Willingness to travel within the market up to 75% of the time, with occasional out‑of‑market travel. Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Education & Experience Requirements Medical degree from an accredited institution and state license to practice. Board certification in the relevant specialty preferred. Current DEA and DPS Certificate of Registration. Minimum of two (2) years of direct patient care experience or internship in the specialty. Compensation Hourly rate ranging from $106.30 to $151.88, with potential bonuses or commissions based on experience, education, geographic location, and performance.
