Key Qualifications:

• Valid Standard AZ Secondary Teaching License
• Current Arizona K-12 Special Education Certificate
• Must possess an IVP Fingerprint Card
• Previous experience in self-contained behavior classrooms, especially autism or structured intensive support settings
• Demonstrated background supporting students with emotional disabilities and/or a range of areas of eligibility
• Familiarity with at-risk, multicultural, limited English proficient, and exceptional learners
• Solid grasp of special services procedures, including compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
• Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training, or willingness to participate in relevant staff development

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and structured behavioral support to students in a self-contained classroom
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports both prosocial and self-regulatory skills
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective interventions
• Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with all legal and district guidelines
