Temp Legal Assistant - Tampa

Work Type Full time, onsite, contract to possible hire Compensation $25-30/hr Responsibilities Enter, update, and maintain client, case, and legal matter information in case management systems and databases. Review documents for accuracy and completeness before filing or processing. Organize, scan, upload, and maintain electronic and physical legal files. Assist with the preparation, formatting, and proofreading of legal correspondence and documents. Process incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and legal notices. File legal documents with courts, agencies, and other entities as directed. Track deadlines, document requests, and case-related activities. Maintain records of client communications and case updates. Assist attorneys and legal staff with administrative projects and reporting. Answer phones, greet clients, and direct inquiries as needed. Ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements and firm policies. Perform other administrative and data entry duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or Paralegal coursework preferred. 1+ years of administrative, legal support, data entry, or office experience preferred. Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with legal case management software preferred. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work independently. Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills. Familiarity with legal terminology, court filings, or legal documentation is a plus.
