Location: 1215 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI

Start Date: 09/01/2026

Duration: Contract position (availability of longer assignments possible)

Shift: Day shift with Q3 call coverage (every third weekday and weekend)

Hours/Week: 40+ hours (typical workweek)

Employment Type: Locum (temporary, on an as-needed basis)

Licenses/Certifications: Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist (MD) required

Experience: Prior IR experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Provide hospital-based interventional radiology services, including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsy, thrombolysis, and UFE (Uterine Fibroid Embolization)
• Support a team of three physicians and two advanced practice providers
• Perform approximately 8 cases daily, primarily adult patients, including Geriatric cases
• Assist with ortho, gyn, and urology procedures as needed
• Participate in call coverage on a rotating basis (Q3 schedule)
• Document procedures using the facility's electronic medical records system
• Contribute to delivering high-quality, timely IR care in a Level I trauma setting

What You Need

• MD with Board Certification in Radiology and Interventional Radiology
• Active medical license in Michigan or ability to obtain one
• Experience in performing angioplasty, embolization, and related interventions

• Experience supporting hospital-based IR teams
• Ability to handle adult and geriatric patient populations
