RN Specialized - Casual Status - Urgent Care - Rancho Bernardo

This position is a Casual status also known as Per Diem RN position. Located at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo. The shift is 0800-2030 with varies days, weekends and holidays. We require availability of a minimum of 4 shifts per month. Training ideally would be part time or full time.

What you'll do:

• Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration.
• Educate patients and document patient interactions.
• Practice infection control and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within your scope of practice.
• Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
• Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice.
• Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting.
• Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.
• Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

• Experience/Specialized Skills: Completion of accredited RN program Previous RN experience in Emergency Services or Urgent Care Required
• Certification/Registration: Current CA license Current American Heart Associate Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS and PALS certificate
• Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: 1+ years RN experience in Emergency Department or Urgent Care within the past 3 years is strongly preferred NIH BSN CEN
