Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to determine the mental health needs of clients.

• Providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to the specific needs and dynamics of each client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on adult and geriatric populations, with the potential to work with children and adolescents in the future. This diversity in client demographics allows you to utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and approaches to cater to the unique needs of each population.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.

• Current, active, and unrestricted licensure as an LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Proficient understanding of a range of theoretical and clinical models pertinent to family therapy.
\n
• Strong ability to create therapeutic relationships with clients and foster trust and respect throughout the therapeutic process.

• Exceptional writing skills for accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
\n
• Ability to perform thorough mental status exams and recognize changes in clients’ mental health status.
\n
• Thorough knowledge of social work ethics and adherence to the scope of practice.

• Familiarity with community resources related to mental health, special education, and vocational support, enabling effective client advocacy.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
